The crazy Frenchman Alan Robert more known as a French Spiderman, finally succeed to conquer one of the tallest buildings in the world, Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. His third attempt was third luck for Spiderman; in the other two tries (in 1997 and 2007) he was captured by security guards.
After completing his mission he was arrested and now faces 6 months behind bars and an $850 fine. But this is not his first time to be arrested, he is used to it, believed or not Alan has been arrested more than 100 times! He is not very worried about it and 4 years ago in one interview for Daily Telegraph he was joking: “It’s a great feeling to know that 100 cops want to stop you doing something and they can’t.”
Usually his arrests are brief formalities and he has always been discharged.
Alain Robert is born on 7 August 1962 in France. He is married to Nicole Robert and has three children. They are also practicing and sometimes climbing with him.
Is interesting that “Spiderman” as a child was afraid of heights!
Back in 1982 he had few accidents while he was practicing. He fell two times in January and September, and in both cases he fell 15 meters (49 feet). The second time he was in coma 5 days, “60% disabled,” according to doctors, and suffering from cerebral edema and vertigo. But after 6 months he starts climbing again. He went into another coma in 2005 after fell 8 meters (26 feet) while showing students how to rely on their legs when climbing.
So far Alan Robert has conquered 88 skyscrapers and other giant structures around the world including the world’s tallest skyscrapers!
What else should we say about this guy? He is totally amazing and totally insane at the same time.
Good luck man and let the force be with you!
