As a part of General Motors, SAAB also becomes a car company with unsecured future. The help come from the other Swedish car maker called Koenigsegg, a boutique producer of small series of cars. The word Koenigsegg means the king balls. This company starts as the producer of the protection equipment and the famous product was the balls protector for the royal and noble families all over Europe. The nobles were buying this protector to secure their precious noble equipment. After nobles, the common people embraced this fashion and the future of the company was secured.

After this product the company start with a production of the horse carriages and again the first customers were the royal European families and very reach people. In the beginning of the last century this company starts to make exclusive super sports cars for selected elite of enthusiasts and become very successful with that. The connections with the European jet set were securing a lot of information and shady businesses so the company was developing fast.



In 1994 the company head decide to erase the entire company history and to start from the scratch. The new company was called a Koenigsegg Automotive AB.
The connections with the European rulers remained, so now Koenigsegg Automotive AB is going to buy the SAAB with 75% of the debt write down by the Swedish government!
In numbers that mean $1.000.000.000 (ONE BILION US DOLLARS).
As we can realize, the looking after the king’s balls is always a good business.
