There is nothing more romantic than a Verona wedding; except a Verona wedding on the Juliet’s Balcony where, according to William Shakespeare, Romeo wooed Juliet.
The officials of Verona want to maintain the town’s image as a “city of love”, so they decided to allow couples to get married on the Juliet’s Balcony for $1,300.
“Verona is known worldwide as the city of love, and we have inherited this splendid reputation and we want to promote It.” said Daniele Polato, the city official the one who made the proposal.


The 14th-century House of Juliet or Casa di Giulietta, is the heart of Verona and it is one of the top touristic destinations with more than 1.2 million people annually.
The ice was broken by the first Romeo in the new era, Luca Ceccarelli who is football star in Italy and his Juliet is Irene Lamforti.


“I feel very emotional. You know, marriage always gives strong emotions especially in a situation like this,” said Ceccarelli, before exchanging rings.
